成都航空职业技术大学创建于1965年，是原航空工业部的十所航空院校之一，现为四川省人民政府举办、教育厅直属的公办全日制普通高等学校。学校是全国首批高职院校（14所之一）、首批国家示范性高职院校（28所之一）、国家“双高计划”建设单位、国家高技能人才培训基地、航空工业高技能人才培训基地、中国航发高技能人才培育基地、教育部职业院校校长培训基地（全国5所之一，西部唯一）。学校地处成都经济技术开发区（国家级）和世界级汽车产业城的龙泉驿区，占地近1300亩（含新都航空产教园区），教学、科研仪器设备资产总值3.58亿元，藏书逾百万册，现有在校生近1万人，教职工900余人。
学校高度重视国际合作与交流工作，不断拓展海外平台、推动师生双向交流、引进国际优质资源、实施专业国际对标、推动来华留学教育、服务“一带一路”建设，与世界20余个国家（地区）的65所高校和教育机构建立长期稳定合作关系。累计为47个“一带一路”沿线国家及非洲国家的360余名政府官员和技术人员开展培训。
Founded in 1965, Chengdu Aeronautic Polytechnic University (CAPU) is one of the ten original aviation colleges established by the former Ministry of the Aviation Industry. Currently, it is a full-time public higher education institution administered by the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and directly overseen by the Provincial Department of Education. The college holds multiple prestigious distinctions:
- Among the first 14 higher vocational colleges in China
- One of the first 28 National Model Higher Vocational Colleges
- A National "Double High Plan" Construction Unit
- National High-Skilled Talent Training Center
- Aviation Industry High-Skilled Talent Training Center
- China Aeroengine Corporation (AECC) High-Skilled Talent Cultivation Center
- One of only five such centers nationwide and the only one in Western China Vocational College President Training Center of the Ministry of Education.
Located in Longquanyi District—home to the Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone (a national-level zone) and a world-class automotive industry hub—the college spans nearly 1,300 mu (approx. 86.7 hectares), including its Xindu Aviation Industry-Education Integration Campus. It boasts teaching and research equipment valued at 358 million CNY, a library collection exceeding one million volumes, nearly 10,000 students currently enrolled, and over 900 faculty and staff members.
CAPU prioritizes international collaboration and exchange, actively expanding overseas partnerships, facilitating two-way exchanges for faculty and students, introducing global educational resources, aligning programs with international standards, promoting study-in-China initiatives, and supporting the Belt and Road Initiative. The college has established long-term partnerships with 65 universities and institutions in over 20 countries and regions. To date, it has trained over 360 government officials and technicians from 47 Belt and Road countries and African nations.

Chengdu Aeronautic Polytechnic University (CAPU) is dedicated to advancing the internationalization of vocational education. Deeply integrated into the "Belt and Road" educational cooperation strategy, CAPU has innovatively established a three-in-one international talent development system: "Language Training—Degree Education—Short-term Exchange." CAPU has trained nearly 300 international students from over 40 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe, including countries such as South Korea, Senegal, and Russia, and has welcomed nearly 200 participants in short-term study programs.

CAPU regularly organizes various cultural and competition activities, including "Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience" and "Vocational Skills Competitions," allowing international students to experience the charm of Chinese civilization through traditional Chinese craftsmanship and enhance their professional skills through technological innovation competitions. This helps cultivate a large number of international talents who are "knowledgeable about China, friendly to China, and love China."
学校依托天府新区汽车产业集群优势，校企共建实训基地，通过“实践育人”，结合"中文+职业技能"培养模式，助力留学生掌握新能源汽车、智能装备等前沿技术。
Leveraging the automotive industry cluster advantages of Tianfu New Area, CAPU collaborates with enterprises to jointly build practical training centers. By applying a "practice-based education" approach and combining the "Chinese language + vocational skills" model, CAPU helps international students master cutting-edge technologies such as new energy vehicles and intelligent equipment.
作为亚太职业院校影响力院校及中非职业教育联合会成员单位，学校于2023年入围“未来非洲-中非职业教育合作特色项目”，提供了"产教融合+国际合作"的成航方案。
CAPU is a member of the Asia-Pacific Leading Vocational Colleges and the China-Africa Vocational Education Union. In 2023, CAPU was shortlisted for the “Future Africa-China Vocational Education Cooperation Pilot Project”, offering the CAPU model of "Industry-Education Integration + International Cooperation" .
