四川水利职业技术学院是经四川省人民政府批准、于2003年4月建立的全日制普通高等学校，隶属四川省水利厅领导，四川省教育厅负责业务指导。前身是四川省水利电力学校，创建于1956年，是教育部首批国家级重点中专；1960年经省人民委员会批准为灌县水利专科学校；2000年经省教委批准与四川农业大学水利电力学院合作开展普通高等专科层次办学；2003年经四川省人民政府批准升格为四川水利职业技术学院；2022年经四川省教育厅审核批准开展本科层次水利水电工程专业职业教育人才培养试点工作。
Sichuan Water Conservancy Vocational College is a full-time higher education institution established in April 2003 with approval from the People's Government of Sichuan Province. It is under the leadership of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Water Resources and receives academic guidance from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education. Its predecessor was the Sichuan Water Resources and Electric Power School, founded in 1956 as one of the first national key secondary technical schools designated by the Ministry of Education. In 1960, it was approved by the Provincial People's Committee to become the Guanxian Water Conservancy College. In 2000, it began cooperative education at the college level with the College of Water Resources and Electric Power of Sichuan Agricultural University. In 2003, it was upgraded to the Sichuan Water Conservancy Vocational College with approval from the provincial government. In 2022, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education approved the college to conduct pilot programs for undergraduate-level vocational education in water resources and hydro power engineering.
学校开办专业涵盖水利、水电、资源环境、地质、信息、建筑、测绘、管理、水产等行业，形成了以水利水电建筑工程和电力系统自动化技术2个高水平专业群为引领，辐射带动生态环境、测绘地理信息、土木工程3个骨干专业群和信息技术、现代服务业、现代农牧生产加工3个特色专业群的“233”专业群布局。
The college's majors cover fields such as water conservancy, hydropower, resources and environment, geology, information, construction, surveying, management, and aquaculture. It has formed a "233" professional cluster layout, led by two high-level professional clusters in hydropower construction engineering and power system automation technology, radiating and driving three backbone clusters in ecological environment, surveying and mapping geographic information, and civil engineering, along with three distinctive clusters in information technology, modern service industries, and modern agricultural production and processing.
学校水利职业教育特色突出，坚持产学研结合，培养高素质技术技能人才，在国内高职高专院校中独具特色。近年来，学校实施“开放办学”，校企共建混合所有制“国际电工学院”，积极与国际院校交流合作，开展来华留学生教育，为“一带一路”国家培养专业技术人才。
The college's water conservancy vocational education features are distinct, adhering to the combination of education, research, and practice to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled personnel, making it unique among vocational colleges and universities in China. ♦ ⌈留学生培养概况International Students Admission⌉
四川水利职业技术学院自2024年10月开展首届来华留学生招生，招收水利水电建筑工程、电力系统自动化技术两个专业的学历生、非学历生。
Sichuan Water Conservancy Vocational College started its first international student enrollment in October 2024, enrolling both degree and non-degree students majoring in Hydraulic and Hydropower Construction Engineering and Automation of Electric Systems.
♦（一）招生专业：水利水电建筑工程（水利工程学院）。主要培养具有良好的职业道德、熟练的职业技能、可持续发展的基础能力，掌握水利水电建筑工程专业知识，面向水利水电行业一线从事水利水电建筑物设计和水利水电工程施工及管理等工作，能满足水利水电工程建设生产第一线和水利基层单位需要的技术技能型专门人才。本专业毕业生可在基层水利单位、水利水电施工企业与管理单位、设计单位从事水利水电工程施工、施工管理、勘测设计、工程建设监理等工作。
（1）Major: Hydraulic and Hydropower Construction Engineering (School of Hydraulic Engineering). This major is to train technical and skilled personnel with good professional ethics, proficient professional skills, and sustainable development capabilities, who possess knowledge of hydropower construction engineering and can engage in design, construction, and management of hydropower structures in the hydropower industry.Graduates can work in grassroots water conservancy units, hydropower construction enterprises and management units, and design units in roles related to hydropower construction, construction management, surveying and design, and project supervision.
♦（二）招生专业：电力系统自动化技术（电力工程学院）。本专业培养理想信念坚定，德、智、体、美、劳全面发展，掌握发电厂及电力系统必备的基本理论和专业知识，具备岗位职业能力，面向电力行业企业及用电企业，从事发电厂及电力系统的电气设备设计、制造、安装调试、运行、维护、检修、试验、销售及管理等工作的技术技能型专门人才。本专业毕业生可在电力行业、水利水电行业、电力装备制造行业、新能源行业等涉电单位从事电气设备安装调试、运行检修、电气工程设计和技术管理等方面的工作。
（2）Major: Automation of Electric Systems (School of Power Engineering). This major is to cultivate technical and skilled personnel with firm ideals and beliefs, all-round moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor development, who possess basic theories and professional knowledge of power plants and power systems, and can engage in design, manufacturing, installation & debugging, operation, maintenance, overhaul & testing, sales, and management of electrical equipment in power plants and power systems.Graduates can work in the power industry, water conservancy and hydropower industry, power equipment manufacturing industry, and new energy industry in positions related to installation and testing of electrical equipment, operation and maintenance, electrical engineering design, and technical management.
