四川信息职业技术学院始建于1976年，隶属于四川省经济和信息化厅，是国家高技能人才培训基地、全国“职业院校数字校园建设样板校”、省示范性高职院校、省优质高等职业学校、省高水平高职学校建设单位。
Established in 1976, Sichuan Vocational College of Information Technology is attached to Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Department. It is a national training base for highly skilled personnel, a national model vocational college for digital campus construction, an outstanding provincial demonstrative college, and a constructive unit of the provincial high-level vocational colleges.
学院地处四川广元，现有两个校区，占地面积520亩，在校学生10000余人，教职工614人，其中，高级职称139人，专任教师中具有硕士学位占比58.5%。
Located in Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province of China, the college has 2 campuses with a floor area of 520 mu (35 hectares), over 10,000 students, and 614 staff, including 139 professors and associate professors. 58.5% of the academic faculty own master’s degrees.
学院设有软件学院、电子与物联网学院、网络与通信学院、人文学院等8个教学单位，开设了应用电子技术、软件技术、数控技术等 35 个高职专科专业，形成了以工科为主体，以电子信息为主导的专业结构体系。建成10 个企业学院，组建企业专班 100多个。牵头成立四川电子信息职教集团，建成教育部-中兴通讯 ICT 行业创新基地、四川移动应用协同创新中心等科技平台。
There are 8 academic schools for instance, School of Software, School of Electronics and Internet of Things, School of Intelligent Control, School of Networking and Communication, and School of Humanities, and 35 specialties such as applied electronics, software and numerical control. It has gradually formed the specialty structure system of being engineering-centered and electronic & information oriented. It has set up 10 enterprise cooperative schools and more than 100 enterprise specialized classes. It led the establishment of the Sichuan Electronic Information Vocational Education Group, and created technology platforms like the Ministry of Education-ZTE ICT Industry Innovation Base, and Sichuan Mobile Application Collaborative Innovation Center.
学院与美国、加拿大、德国、泰国、印度等15个国家的42所学校和机构开展了教师进修、学生交换、学术交流等合作项目。累计招收了来自俄罗斯、巴基斯坦、孟加拉、印度尼西亚、蒙古等22个国家的来华留学生481名；派出教师赴海外访学、培训327人；开设全英文授课专业6个、英文授课课程44门；建设川信越南创新工坊1个；参与开发坦桑尼亚、老挝、金砖国家等国际职业标准、教材共7项；率先通过来华留学生高等职业教育质量认证标准。
In recent years, the college has developed deep international cooperation like teacher training, student exchange, and academic seminars with 42 institutes from 15 countries, such as USA, Canada, Germany, Thailand, India, etc. There are 481 international students from 22 countries, such as Russia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mongolia, etc. 327 teachers are involved in overseas exchanges or training projects. There are 6 English-taught majors and 44 English-taught courses. It has set up one innovation workshop in Vietnam and participated in the development of 7 international professional standards or textbooks for countries such as Tanzania, Laos, and BRICS. The college has passed Higher Vocational Education Accreditation for International Students in China (HVEAIS).

学院近年来积极推进学历专业教育、中文进修教育和短期交流项目，构建起了1年中文2年专科的“中文+技能”留学生培养体系。此外，还建立起了2年本科学习通道。
In recent years, the college has been actively promoting professional diploma education, Chinese language education, and short-term exchange programs, and has built up a “Chinese + Skills” international student training system with one year of Chinese language study and two years of specialization study. Additionally, a 2-year undergraduate study pathway has been established.
学院软件技术、现代通信技术与计算机网络技术等11个重点专业，均面向留学生招生。秉持“敬业爱生，精诚服务”教育理念，注重留学生教学和管理过程质量。为中国能建、宁波力勤、雅万高铁、印尼哈利达集团等企业（项目）培养了本土化急需技术骨干、中文翻译和管理人员。
The 11 key majors of the college, such as software technology, modern communication technology and computer network technology, are all open to international students. Adhering to the educational philosophy of “Respecting and Loving Students, Serving with Sincerity”, the college emphasizes the quality of teaching and management process of international student education. Many localized and urgently needed technical backbones like Chinese interpreters and management personnel have been trained for overseas joint ventures (projects) such as China Energy Engineering Corporation Ltd., Lygend Resources & Technology Co. Ltd., Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, and Harita Group of Indonesia.
学院开设汉语言初级进修班，针对中文初学者开设基础汉语、汉语听说、汉语写作、中国概况等课程。同时，专门为学历生开设HSK能力提升课程。采取教室小课堂与社会大课堂相结合的教学模式，建成国际中文课程5门、中国国情教育课程4门；依托地域文化资源建成留学生中国文化实践基地7个；留学生HSK通过率较高，获省级国际中文教育大赛4项，市级比赛26项。
The College offers Chinese language courses for beginners, including basic Chinese, Chinese listening and speaking, Chinese writing, and general information about China. At the same time, HSK test preparation courses are specially offered for diploma students. Adopting the teaching mode of combining classroom and social activities, the college has built 5 Chinese language courses and 4 courses on China's national information. 7 Chinese cultural practice bases for international students have been built relying on regional cultural resources. The international students had a high pass rate on the HSK test, and they won 4 provincial competition awards and 26 municipal competition awards.
学院注重对外交流合作工作，积极开展各种类型短期交流项目，包括短期特色专业学习、中文学习、文化体验等。
The college attaches importance to international exchange and cooperation, and actively carries out various types of short-term exchange programs, including short-term specialties, Chinese language learning, and cultural experience.
