学校创建于1978年，是四川省、成都市重点建设大学，是第31届世界大学生夏季运动会运动员村承办大学，FISU银级认证“健康校园”。 是教育部“卓越工程师教育培养计划”高校、 “双万计划”一流本科专业建设点立项单位。拥有百年历史的三级甲等综合附属医院和国家级科研平台四川抗菌素工业研究所。
学校现有全日制在校生27600余人，专任教师1770余人，设有经济学、法学、教育学、文学、理学、工学、农学、医学、管理学、艺术学、交叉学科11个学科门类，77个本科专业，硕士学位授权点34个。建有国家低碳新材料学科创新引智基地、科技部国际科技合作基地、农业部重点实验室、省重点实验室、省工程技术研究中心、省工程实验室、省工程研究中心、省重点中华文化研究院等科研平台83个。
学校与45个国家和地区的218所高校或机构签署合作备忘录，开展中外合作办学机构1个，开展中外合作办学项目2项，本硕博多层次海外联合培养项目50余项、海外校际交流交换项目50余项。开设国际通识课程，建有全球语言测试中心。 “四川省泰国研究中心”入选教育部国别和区域研究中心备案名单。累计招收来自77个国际和地区的留学生5000余人，获评首批“四川来华留学示范基地”。泰国外专关国兴获得中国政府友谊奖。
Chengdu University, founded in 1978, is a key university in the City of Chengdu and even across Sichuan Province. It served as the host university of the FISU Games Village for the 31st FISU Summer World University Games Chengdu 2021 and is a FISU-certified "Healthy Campus" with a silver label. The University is in the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" and carries the mission to develop first-class undergraduate programs under the "Double Ten Thousand Plan." Additionally, the University boasts a Grade III Class A affiliated hospital with a century-long history and a national scientific research platform, the Sichuan Industrial Institute of Antibiotics.
The University currently hosts over 27,600 full-time students and has more than 1,770 full-time faculty members. It offers 11 academic disciplines, including Economics, Law, Education, Literature, Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Management, Arts, and Interdisciplinary Studies. Across these disciplines, 77 undergraduate programs are provided, along with 34 master's degree programs. Moreover, the University is home to 83 scientific research platforms, including the National Innovation and Talent Introduction Base for Low-Carbon New Materials, an International Science and Technology Cooperation Base under the Ministry of Science and Technology, key laboratories under the Ministry of Agriculture, provincial key laboratories, provincial engineering technology research centers, provincial engineering laboratories, provincial engineering research centers, and a Provincial Key Research Institute of Chinese Culture.
The University has signed cooperation memorandums with 218 higher education institutions across 45 countries and regions. It established one Sino-foreign cooperative education institution. Furthermore, it has initiated two Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, alongside over 50 international joint training programs for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral students, as well as over 50 international inter-university exchange programs. The University offers international general education courses and has a Global Language Test Center. Its Sichuan Provincial Research Institute of Thai Studies is on the Ministry of Education's list of registered institutes of global and area studies. To date, the University has enrolled over 5,000 international students from 77 countries and regions and has been recognized as one of the first demonstration bases for international students studying in Sichuan. The University's Thai expert Chaphiporn Kiatkachatharn has received the Chinese Government Friendship Award.

The Overseas Education College of Chengdu University enrolls four groups of international students, including degree students, language students, jointly trained students, and short-term group students. The college was established in 2015 and has since trained more than 2,000 international students from more than 40 countries and regions, covering 19 disciplines and laying a solid foundation for Chengdu University's cultivation of international talent. It undertakes and customizes high-quality short-term group programs of all levels and types, providing international students with an immersive language learning environment and rich Chinese cultural experiences. Representative programs include: the "Chinese Bridge" online group program for primary and secondary school students in the United States, the online Chinese learning scholarship program for primary and secondary school students in the United States, and the "Mandarin Excellence Programme" summer camp for British students in China, all hosted by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education; the "Chinese Root-seeking Tour" summer camp organized by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC) and the Sichuan Provincial Returned Overseas Chinese Federation; and other short-term groups organized by government departments at all levels, schools, and various other organizations and institutions. It is committed to continuously enhancing the appeal and influence of international education in China.

学院拥有多功能智慧教室、语音室、HSK网考机房、中国文化教室、留学生活动室等设施先进、设备完备的教学空间，并新建成沉浸式VR系统，旨在为来华留学生营造更优质丰富的中国文化学习与体验环境。
The college has well-equipped and advanced multi-functional smart classrooms, language labs, HSK online examination rooms, Chinese culture classrooms, and international student activity rooms. In addition, it has built a new immersive VR system to create a better and richer Chinese cultural learning and experience environment for international students in China.

Currently, the college has 16 front-line teachers qualified for international Chinese education, among whom 13 have overseas Chinese teaching experience or educational background.

成都大学中国-东盟艺术学院成立于2017年11月19日，是成都市人民政府深入贯彻落实党的十九大精神，积极融入国家“一带一路”建设，加快建设西部文创中心和世界文化名城而批准，依托成都大学已有的艺术学科办学基础，按照新的体制和机制设立的非法人内设综合艺术学院。学院以“厚德精艺 真美与共”作为院训。首任院长由音乐家、声乐教育家、博导郁钧剑先生担任，学院现有教职工260余人，博士生导师3人、教授、副教授89人，博士（含在读）80人。学院下设国际部、美术与设计学院、影视与动画学院、音乐与舞蹈学院四个教学单位。
The College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts of Chengdu University was established on November 19, 2017. It is an independent and fully public comprehensive art college approved by the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government to practice the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and the Belt and Road Initiative so as to accelerate the development of Chengdu into a cultural and creative center of western China and a world-famous cultural city, and established on the basis of the existing arts department of Chengdu University in accordance with the new system and mechanism. Its motto is "Cultivate Virtue, Refine Art, and Pursue Truth and Beauty in Harmony." The first dean is Mr. Yu Junjian, a musician, vocal educator, and doctoral supervisor. The College has more than 260 faculty members, including 3 doctoral supervisors, 89 professors and associate professors, and 80 doctors (including those currently pursuing doctoral degrees). The College consists of four academic departments, namely, the International Department, the College of Fine Arts and Design, the College of Film and Animation, and the College of Music and Dance.
学院现有全日制在校本科生、研究生、学历留学生4200余人。1个学科硕士点（设计学学术硕士），4个专业硕士学位点（美术与书法、设计、戏剧与影视、音乐）。开设有动画、视觉传达设计、广播电视编导、绘画、产品设计、环境设计、数字媒体技术（新增艺术）、音乐表演、舞蹈表演、音乐教育11个本科专业。动画、广播电视编导、视觉传达设计3个专业为国家级一流本科专业建设点，绘画专业入选省级一流专业建设点。目前，与泰国艺术大学、泰国清迈大学、泰国西北大学、马来西亚理科大学艺术学院以及哈尔滨音乐学院等开展了本硕博联合培养项目。
There are more than 4,200 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and international degree students. The College offers one academic master's degree program (Academic Master of Design) and four professional master's degree programs (Fine Arts and Calligraphy, Design, Drama and Film, and Music). It has 11 undergraduate specialties, including animation, visual communication design, broadcast and TV directing, painting, product design, environmental design, digital media technology (newly added arts program), music performance, dance performance and music education. Among these, animation, broadcast and TV directing and visual communication design are national-level first-class undergraduate program construction sites, and the painting program has been selected as a provincial-level first-class undergraduate program construction site. With Silpakorn University, Chiang Mai University, Payap University, School of the Arts of Universiti Sains Malaysia and Harbin Conservatory of Music, the College carries out joint programs for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
截止2024年12月底，成都大学中国-东盟艺术学院艺术类在籍学历国际学生606人，生源国27个。从整体生源国分布来看，东盟国家学生人数为540人，占总人数的88.5%，国别涵盖东盟十国中的6国，来自一带一路国家学生共586人比例高达96.1%。从学历层次来看，本科524人，占比85.9%；研究 86 人，占比 14%。从学科分布来看，美术与设计相关专业331人，占比 56%；影视与动画相关专业202人，占比34%；音乐与舞蹈相关专业 61人，占比10 %。2018年至今，已累计培养艺术类国际学生1146人，其中东盟地区学生986人。
As of the end of December 2024, College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts of Chengdu University has 606 international students enrolled in arts programs from 27 countries. In terms of overall student distribution by country, there are 540 students from ASEAN countries, accounting for 88.5% of the total, covering 6 of the 10 ASEAN countries. Additionally, there are 586 students from the Belt and Road Initiative countries, making up a remarkable 96.1%. Regarding academic levels, there are 524 undergraduate students, accounting for 85.9%, and 86 postgraduate students, accounting for 14%. In terms of discipline distribution, there are 331 students in fine arts and design-related majors, comprising 56%; 202 students in film and animation-related majors, making up 34%; and 61 students in music and dance-related majors, representing 10%. Since 2018, we have trained a total of 1,146 international students in arts programs, with 986 students from the ASEAN region.
