As the only base in Sichuan Province's first batch of "Demonstration Bases for International Students" that is positioned with a dual focus on "Sci-Tech + Culture", it closely aligns with the "Belt and Road" strategy. It aims to become an internationally influential brand for international education by driving forward with both scientific and technological innovation and cultural education.
科技教育实施"前沿课程+云端教学+科研实践"三位一体培养模式。依托优势学科开发《虚拟设计与建造》《现代分子生物学》等14门特色课程，搭建跨国直播课堂覆盖1000余名学子；推动学生参与国家级重点科研，促成"智能型微生物肥料"等成果在巴基斯坦等国技术转化，形成"基础研究-技术应用-国际推广"创新链。
The base implements a "trinity" model of science and technology education, integrating "cutting-edge courses + cloud-based teaching + scientific research practice." It has developed 14 unique courses, such as "Virtual Design and Construction" and "Modern Molecular Biology," based on its first class disciplines. It has also established a cross-border live classroom that covers more than 1,000 students. Moreover, the base encourages students to participate in national key scientific research projects, leading to the technological transfer of achievements like "intelligent microbial fertilizers" in countries such as Pakistan. This has formed an innovation chain of "basic research - technological application - international promotion."
文化育人深化"留学科大·感知中国"品牌工程，通过校地协同开展“青”爱的绵阳、非遗扎染创作等沉浸式文化体验，构建跨文化认知共同体。完善"赛事育人"体系，积极组织学生参加"汉语桥""中华经典诵读"等国家级赛事，形成"文化浸润-实践创新-国际传播"培育闭环。
In terms of cultural education, the base has deepened the "Perceiving China through Studying in Sichuan" brand project. It collaborates with local communities to conduct immersive cultural experiences such as "Young Students in Mianyang" and intangible cultural heritage dyeing and weaving activities, building a community of cross-cultural understanding. It has also improved the "competition-oriented education" system, actively organizing students to participate in national-level competitions like the "Chinese Bridge" and "Chinese Classics Recitation."
