西南医科大学2021年获批四川省首批来华留学示范基地建设高校以来，按照“扩大规模、优化结构、保证质量、发挥特色、引领示范”工作方针要求，推进我校国际医学教育来华留学事业科学、快速、可持续发展。
Since Southwest Medical University was approved as the first batch of universities in Sichuan Province to build demonstration bases for international students studying in China in 2021, we have promoted the scientific, rapid and sustainable development of international medical education in our school in accordance with the requirements of the work policy of“expanding scale, optimizing structure, ensuring quality, giving play to characteristics and leading demonstration”.
以“质量认证”为航标，打造“一中心、三结合、四模块、五保障”的人才培养模式，培养留学生跨文化能力、临床专业能力等八大核心能力。开设70余门全英文课程，构建融合中国特色和国际元素的留学生全英文课程体系。
With quality certification as the beacon, the talent training model of "one center, three combinations, four modules and five guarantees" is created, and eight core competencies such as cross-cultural competence and clinical professional competence are cultivated for international students. It offers more than 70 courses in English, and builds an all-English curriculum system for international students that integrates Chinese characteristics and international elements.
推进“留学中国”品牌建设，实施来华留学一流课程建设三年行动计划，耳鼻咽喉学课程入选全国来华留学生临床医学专业本科教育精品在线开放课程；建成3门四川省高等院校来华留学精品课程，建设10门校级来华留学生精品课程。
Promote the brand building of "Study in China", implement the three-year action plan for the construction of first-class courses for overseas students in China, and the otolaryngology course has been selected as the national high-quality online open courses for undergraduate clinical medicine education for overseas students; Three quality courses for students studying in China have been established in Sichuan Province, and 10 quality courses for students studying in China at the university level have been established.
开展来华留学生任课教师全英教学竞赛，选派留学生任课教师参加教育部来华留学英语师资培训（医学）学习及来华留学医学本科教育青年教师英语授课展示活动，提升师资队伍的能力和水平。
To carry out the English Teaching competition for teachers of international students in China, select and send international teachers to participate in the English teacher training (medical) study of the Ministry of Education in China and the English teaching demonstration of young teachers of medical undergraduate education studying in China, so as to improve the ability and level of teachers.
创新来华留学生中国国情教育方式，积极组织国际学生参加首届“留学在四川——我的留学生生活”微视频大赛，举办“云端贺新春”“剪纸迎端午”“心递感恩 情暖教师”庆祝教师节、“舞动月圆庆中秋”等活动，培养知华友华的中华文化交流使者、“一带一路”文明交流互鉴的推动者。
