川北医学院坐落于四川省历史文化名城南充市，成立于1951年，前身为西南区川北医士学校。校园占地面积1800余亩，环境优美，基础优良，为师生提供了卓越的学习与科研环境。川北医学院坚持以医学为主体，医、理、工、管、法、文多学科协调发展，拥有雄厚的师资力量和丰富的临床教学资源。学校建有3所直属附属医院和11所非直属附属医院，医疗服务覆盖川渝陕3800万人口。在学科建设方面，川北医学院的临床医学学科实力强劲，已进入ESI全球排名前1%。学校现有全日制本科生、研究生及留学生近1.9万人。
North Sichuan Medical University (NSMU) is located in Nanchong, a historical and cultural city in Sichuan Province. Founded in 1951, its predecessor was the Southwest Region North Sichuan Medical School. Covering an area of over 1,800 mu, the campus boasts a beautiful environment and advanced facilities, providing an excellent setting for learning and research. NSMU adheres to a medical-focused approach with coordinated development in science, engineering, management, law, and liberal arts. The college possesses a strong faculty and abundant clinical teaching resources, including 3 direct affiliated hospitals and 11 non-direct affiliated hospitals, serving a population of 38 million across the Sichuan-Chongqing-Shaanxi region. Notably, NSMU’s Clinical Medicine discipline ranks in the top 1% of the ESI global rankings. The college currently has nearly 19,000 full-time undergraduate students, graduate students, and international students.
川北医学院具备完善的医学人才培养体系，开设有26个本科专业，其中临床医学、医学影像学等3个专业为国家级一流本科专业建设点。学校拥有硕士学位授权点17个，涵盖临床医学、护理、药学等多个领域。自2005年起，学校开始招收留学生，经过近二十年的发展，已形成成熟的国际医学教育模式。特别是临床医学专业，作为学校的品牌项目，凭借其强大的附属医院临床实习资源和优秀的教学团队，不仅通过了临床医学专业认证，更在国际学生中享有良好口碑。
NSMU boasts a comprehensive medical talent training system, offering 26 undergraduate majors. Among them, three majors, including Clinical Medicine and Medical Imaging, are recognized as National-level First-class Undergraduate Major Construction Sites. The college offers 17 master's degree authorization points covering Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and other fields. NSMU began recruiting international students in 2005 and has developed a mature international medical education model over nearly two decades. In particular, the Clinical Medicine program, as the college’s flagship program, enjoys a strong reputation among international students, backed by professional accreditation, an excellent teaching team, and robust clinical internship resources provided by its affiliated hospitals.

NSMU is committed to building a diverse and inclusive international campus, attracting international students from over 20 countries across Asia, Africa, and the Americas. The college actively expands global exchanges and has established close cooperative relationships with more than ten universities in the US, UK, Japan, Canada, and other countries. Leveraging Nanchong's rich historical heritage, NSMU designs unique cultural immersion programs for international students. Activities featuring Silk Culture, Three Kingdoms Culture, and Intangible Cultural Heritage, as well as cultural exchange events, are held regularly to help students understand China and integrate into campus life. Furthermore, NSMU students have achieved outstanding results in domestic and international competitions, such as the "Challenge Cup" and the China International College Students' Innovation Competition.
