中国民用航空飞行学院（以下简称学院）创建于1956年，作为中国民用航空局直属的全日制普通高等学校，中国民用航空局与四川省共建高校，已成为中国民航高素质人才培养的主力高校，被誉为“中国民航飞行员的摇篮”。
Civil Aviation Flight University of China(hereinafter referred to as CAFUC) was founded in 1956. As a full-time university directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), and jointly built university by CAAC and Sichuan province, it has become the main university for the cultivation of high-quality professionals in civil aviation of China, and is known as the "cradle of civil aviation pilots in China".
学院本部位于四川省广汉市，毗邻成都市，校区地跨川、豫两省五市七个校区，占地面积19000余亩。学院在四川新津、广汉、绵阳、遂宁和河南洛阳建有5个飞行训练分院，管理运行5个通用及运输航空机场。学院是国际民航组织全球航空培训升级计划（ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS PROGRAMME）成员，建有世界一流的航空发动机维修培训中心，是全球最大的LEAP系列发动机培训中心，也是CFM全球四大培训中心之一;拥有国内最大、实力最强的通用航空维修基地，是世界主流通航飞机制造商的授权维修中心；拥有全球海拔最高、性能一流的“高高原航空安全实验室”，国内高校最先进的360度全视景塔台指挥系统和中国民航局授权的完备考试培训体系，并为中国民航建标、立法提供技术支持和培训。学院立足民航、坚持特色发展，现有全日制在校学生3万余人，其中飞行技术专业学生1.1万余人，形成了以工为主，理、工、文、管、法、艺、教育多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。现有20个二级学院、20个硕士学位授权点，47个本专科专业，覆盖了民航所有专业领域。
Headquartered in Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, adjacent to Chengdu, the university covers an area of more than 19000 chinese mu, covering seven campuses in five cities in Sichuan and Henan provinces. The university has established five flight training colleges in Xinjin, Guanghan, Mianyang, Suining and Luoyang, managing and operating five general and transportation airports. As the member of ICAO TPP which provides professional training for the civil aviation world-widely, the university owns a world-class aero-engine maintenance training center, which is the world's largest LEAP series engine training center, and one of the four CFM training centers in the world，the largest and strongest general aviation maintenance base in China, as the authorized maintenance center for mainstream aviation aircraft manufacturers in the world; and we have the highest altitude and first-class performance "High plateau Aviation Safety Laboratory" in the world, the most advanced 360-degree full view tower command system in domestic universities, and a complete examination and training system authorized by CAAC. We also provide technical support and training for China's civil aviation standardization and legislation. Based on civil aviation and adhering to characteristic development, the university now has more than 30,000 full-time students, including 11,000 students around majoring in flight technology. It has formed up a discipline system focusing on engineering and coordinated development of science, engineering, literature, management, law, art and education. There are 20 schools and 20 master's degree authorization points, and 47 undergraduate and professional training majors, covering all professional fields in civil aviation.

学院作为培养民航专业人才的主力院校，经过60多年的建设与发展，已成为以全球民航职业飞行员培养为主、涵盖民航各相关领域和专业的高等学府。
自民航“一带一路”合作平台指导委员会第一次会议以来，学院依托优势学科和民航特色专业，积极响应国家“一带一路”倡议，支持、配合国产飞机走出去和国家海外重大基建项目战略规划，大力开展“对外教育培训”，为共建“一带一路”国家培养了多批次飞行技术、机务维修、空中交通管制、飞行签派、航空情报和航空气象等专业岗位人才，为共建国家培养了大量民航领域的专业人才，为促进共建国家和地区的互联互通和民心相通发挥着积极作用。
As the main institution for cultivating civil aviation professionals, the university has become a higher education school that focuses on the training of global civil aviation professional pilots and covers various related fields and majors after more than 60 years of construction and development.
Since the first meeting of the Steering Committee of the Civil Aviation "the Belt and Road" Cooperation Platform, the university has actively responded to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative by relying on advantageous disciplines and civil aviation specialties, supported and cooperated with the strategic planning of domestic aircraft going out and major overseas infrastructure projects, vigorously carried out "foreign education and training", cultivated over 1000 professional talents in flight technology, aircraft maintenance, air traffic control, flight dispatch, aviation intelligence, aviation meteorology and other positions for the "the Belt and Road" countries, cultivated a large number of professional talents in the civil aviation field for the co- construction countries, and played a positive role in promoting connectivity and people to people in the co-construction countries and regions.
