成都理工大学创办于1956年，是中国最早成立的三所地质类院校之一。70年来，学校始终秉承“穷究于理、成就于工”的校训，现已成为一所地学优势突出、理工特色鲜明、多学科协同发展的多科性大学，培养了以7位院士为代表的30万名栋梁英才。自2017年起，学校连续两轮进入中国“双一流”建设高校行列，6个学科（地球科学、工程学、环境科学/生态学、化学、材料科学、社会科学总论）进入ESI全球排名前1%，其中地球科学进位全球1.79%。
Founded in 1956, Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) is one of China’s first three universities specializing in geology. Over the past 70 years, the university has consistently upheld its motto, “Seeking Truth, Seeking Triumph,” and has developed into a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary university with strong foundation in earth sciences, featuring distinctive science and engineering strengths. CDUT has nurtured more than 300,000 talented graduates, including seven academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Since 2017, the university has been included in China’s “Double First-Class” initiative for two consecutive rounds. Six disciplines—Earth Science, Engineering, Environmental Science/Ecology, Chemistry, Materials Science, and Social Sciences (General)—rank among the world’s top 1% in ESI, with Earth Sciences ranking in the top 1.79‰ globally.

学校现有成都和宜宾两个校区，占地面积3523亩。现有全日制在校生40198人，教职员工3154人。设有22个教学学院、3个研究院、1个国际教育学院（成都理工大学牛津布鲁克斯学院）。
CDUT currently operates two campuses—Chengdu Campus and Yibin Campus—covering a total area of approximately 580 acres. The university has 40,198 full-time students and 3,154 faculty and staff members. Its academic structure comprises 22 schools and colleges, three research institutes, and the College of International Education (CDUT Oxford Brookes College).
学校坚持面向世界科技前沿，充分发挥地处“青藏高原东缘”的区位优势和“地矿油核环”优势特色，聚焦“地球科学与资源环境”领域国家战略需求，依托2个国家重点实验室和38个部省级平台，持续围绕青藏高原及周缘地学领域关键科学技术问题，重点聚焦沉积地质、工程及灾害地质、油气地质、构造地质、矿产地质、生态环境地质，高质量推进科研平台建设，大力提升科技创新和持续发展能力。
Leveraging its strategic location on the eastern margin of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau and its strengths in geology, mining, petroleum, and nuclear engineering, CDUT focuses on national strategic needs in the fields of earth sciences, natural resources, and environmental protection. Relying on two state key laboratories and 38 ministerial- and provincial-level research platforms, it centers on key scientific and technological challenges related to the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau and its surrounding regions, with particular emphasis on sedimentary geology, engineering geology and geohazards, petroleum geology, structural geology, mineral geology, and eco-environmental geology. Through high-quality development of research platforms, CDUT continues to enhance its capacity for scientific and technological innovation and sustainable development.
学校积极拓展对外交流与合作，主动承担深时数字地球（DDE）、亚洲四维地形（TopoAsia）等国际大科学计划，牵头成立国际大型滑坡研究协会（iRALL）、多灾害智慧减灾全球联盟（SIMR）等国际学术组织，先后同100余所国外高校、科研机构与企业建立了长期的产学研合作关系。同时，学校积极建设高水平国际化教育平台，与英国牛津布鲁克斯大学共同创办“成都理工大学牛津布鲁克斯学院”，开设有工商管理、会计会、计算机科学与技术、软件工程4个中外合作办学本科专业。
CDUT actively promotes international collaboration and academic exchange, taking a leading role in major global scientific initiatives such as the Deep-Time Digital Earth (DDE) and TopoAsia. It has spearheaded the establishment of international academic organizations such as the International Research Association on Large Landslides (iRALL) and the Global Partnership for Smart Informatics and Multi-Hazard Reduction (SIMR). The university has established long-term partnerships with over 100 universities, research institutions, and enterprises worldwide. It also strives to build high-level international education platforms, including the CDUT Oxford Brookes College, jointly established with Oxford Brookes University (UK). The college currently offers four undergraduate programs: Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science and Technology, and Software Engineering.
目前，学校面向国际学生开设有11个本科专业、44个硕士专业及14个博士专业。成都理工大学为来华留学生提供了多种奖学金支持，包括中国政府奖学金、四川省外国留学生政府奖学金、成都市留学生政府奖学金、成都理工大学校级奖学金等。目前学校已构建专业的国际学生服务团队、优质教育服务和多元化的跨文化交流平台。
At present, CDUT offers 11 undergraduate programs, 44 master’s programs, and 14 doctoral programs to international students. It provides a wide range of scholarship opportunities for students studying in China, including the Chinese Government Scholarship, Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship, Chengdu Municipal Government Scholarship, and Chengdu University of Technology Scholarship. The university has also established a professional international student services team, providing high-quality educational support and diverse intercultural platforms.
