学校创建于1983年，坐落于著名的钒钛之都、阳光花城、康养胜地、全国唯一以花命名的城市——攀枝花市市区。学校是以工为主的公办综合性应用型本科院校，是全国100所应用型本科产教融合发展工程项目建设高校、全国首批100所国家级创新创业学院建设单位，获评全国文明校园、全国绿化模范先进单位。拥有1个直管三甲附属医院和3个临床医学实践教学医院。

Founded in 1983, the university is located in the urban area of Panzhihua—a renowned city hailed as the Capital of Vanadium and Titanium, City of Sunshine and Flowers, Health & Wellness Resort, and the only city in China named after a flower. As a public comprehensive application-oriented undergraduate university with engineering as its core focus, it is among the 100 national universities for the Industry-Education Integration Development Project and one of the first batch of 100 national-level innovation and entrepreneurship universities. It has also been honored with titles including National Civilized Campus and National Advanced Unit for Afforestation Model. The university boasts 1 directly affiliated Grade A tertiary hospital and 3 clinical medicine practice teaching hospitals.

学校现有全日制在校生15967，教职工1160余人，专任教师923人。设有本科专业61个，硕士学位授权点12个，涵盖理、工、文、法、经、管、医、艺、农9大学科。建有国家钒钛检测重点实验室、国家级攀枝花钒钛孵化器、省级重点实验室，形成康养产业研究、钒钛文化普及、廉政文化教育、三线文化传承“四大省级基地”。

The university currently has a total of 15,967 full-time students, more than 1,160 faculty and staff members, including 923 full-time teachers. It offers 61 undergraduate programs and 12 master's degree authorization sites, covering 9 academic disciplines namely Science, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Law, Economics, Management, Medicine, Art, and Agriculture. It has established a National Key Laboratory of Vanadium and Titanium Testing, a National Panzhihua Vanadium and Titanium Incubator, and several provincial key laboratories. It has also built four provincial-level bases focusing on health and wellness industry research, vanadium and titanium culture popularization, integrity culture education, and the inheritance of the "Third Front" culture.

拥有省级大学生创新创业俱乐部、省级大学科技园等实训实践平台。本科生就业率保持在90%以上，用人单位满意度保持在96%以上，连续多年被评为“四川省高校毕业生就业工作先进单位”“四川省人才开发先进单位”“四川省兴川战略人才强省示范基地”。

It boasts practical training platforms including a provincial-level university students' innovation and entrepreneurship club and a provincial university science and technology park. The employment rate of its undergraduate has remained above 90%, and the satisfaction rate of employers has stayed over 96%. For many consecutive years, the university has been awarded titles such as "Advanced Unit for Graduate Employment Work among Sichuan Provincial Universities", "Advanced Unit for Talent Development of Sichuan Province" and "Demonstration Base for Talent Strengthening Province under the Sichuan Revitalization Strategy".

学校与20多个国家和地区的50余所高校签署了合作备忘录，构建起“深耕亚洲俄白、辐射全球南方”的国际合作布局，为学校国际化办学筑牢坚实根基。开展与国（境）外高校交流交换及本硕多层次海外联合培养项目。开设国际通识课程，建有海外实践教学基地、“一带一路”语言研究中心，2017年承办了中国（四川）——尼泊尔卫生医疗人员研修班，获批国家留学基金委支助“国家战略资源‘钒钛’+复合型创新人才”西部项目创新子项目。作为四川省引智引才基地，学校获批多个省级中外科研合作重点项目，2名外籍教师成功获评省级高端人才称号，1名外籍教师成功入选2025爱思唯尔（Elsevier）全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单。学校自2011年开始了来华留学生教育，主要生源国为“一带一路”国家。

The university has signed memorandums of cooperation with more than 50 universities in over 20 countries and regions, and built an international cooperation framework featuring "deepening engagement in Asia, Russia and Belarus, and extending influence to the Global South", laying a solid foundation for its international-oriented education. It launches student exchange programs and multi-level overseas joint training programs (covering bachelor's and master's degrees) with universities at home and abroad. The university offers international general education courses, and has established overseas practical teaching bases and a Belt and Road Language Research Center. In 2017, it hosted the China (Sichuan)-Nepal Health and Medical Personnel Training Program, and was approved for the innovative sub-project of the western initiative "National Strategic Resource 'Vanadium and Titanium' +Interdisciplinary Innovative Talents" sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). As a base for introducing overseas talents and intellectual resources in Sichuan Province, the university has secured approval for a number of provincial-level key projects of Sino-foreign scientific research cooperation. Two foreign teachers have been awarded the title of Provincial High-end Talents, and one foreign teacher was successfully listed in the 2025 Elsevier World's Top 2% Scientists Ranking. The university has been running international student education programs since 2011, with the majority of its international students hailing from Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) partner countries.

♦ ⌈留学生培养概况  International Students Admission⌉

学校坚持“提质增效、扩大规模、规范管理、打造特色” 的来华留学教育发展理念，创新构建“三线文化+攀西非遗+技能大赛”三位一体人才培养模式，着力塑造“留学PANDA”特色教育品牌，来华留学教育实现规模与质量同步提升。学校来华留学生教育始于2011年，先后招收来自加纳、美国、日本、泰国的汉语进修生以及老挝本科留学生。2017年开始成班招收临床医学本科专业留学生。

Adhering to the development philosophy of "improving quality and efficiency, expanding scale, standardizing management, and fostering distinctive features" for international student education in China, the university has innovatively constructed a trinity talent cultivation model integrating "Third Front Culture, Panxi Intangible Cultural Heritage, and skills competitions". It strives to build the distinctive educational brand of "Study in PANDA", achieving synchronous improvement in both the scale and quality of its international student education. The university launched its international student education program in 2011, enrolling Chinese language trainees from Ghana, the United States, Japan and Thailand, as well as undergraduate students from Laos. Since 2017, it has started admitting international students in full-class cohorts for the undergraduate program of Clinical Medicine.

学校坚持“立德树人、产教融合、应用为先”的办学理念，材料、机械、化工、电气、能源、土木、计算机等工程类专业门类齐全，汉语言文学、国际经济与贸易、临床医学、护理学等专业办学优势突出。目前开设临床医学（中文授课）、国际经济与贸易（英文授课）和计算机科学与技术（英文授课）等3个来华留学生教育本科专业。已有临床医学本科专业毕业生57名。通过老挝和巴基斯坦校友分会，与国外校友保持良好互动。

Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "fostering virtue through education, integrating industry with education, and prioritizing application", the university offers a comprehensive range of engineering disciplines including Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science. It also boasts prominent strengths in programs such as Chinese Language and Literature, International Economics and Trade, Clinical Medicine, and Nursing Science. At present, the university provides 3 undergraduate programs for international students in China, namely Clinical Medicine (taught in Chinese), International Economics and Trade (taught in English), and Computer Science and Technology (taught in English). A total of 57 graduates have completed the Clinical Medicine undergraduate program. Through the alumni associations in Laos and Pakistan, the university maintains sound interactions with its overseas alumni.

The college is equipped with multifunctional smart classrooms, language labs, Chinese culture classrooms, and international student activity rooms, creating a high-quality environment for international students in China to learn and experience Chinese culture. Currently, it has a team of 10 frontline teachers qualified for International Chinese Language Education, among whom 6 have overseas Chinese teaching experience or educational backgrounds, providing a solid guarantee for high-quality teaching for international students. The School of International Education is dedicated to the recruitment, training, and management of international students, offering them comprehensive support and services. It meticulously organizes international students to participate in various competitions at all levels and has achieved remarkable results consistently. It deeply integrates national conditions and cultural education with off-campus practical experiences, and regularly holds experience activities of fine traditional Chinese culture, such as traditional festivals, tea ceremony, calligraphy, Hanfu appreciation, and martial arts. By leveraging the advantages of regional cultural resources, the school organizes international students to visit the Panzhihua Museum of China's Third Front Construction, Juque Inkstone Museum, as well as Yi ethnic villages like Yishala and Xigeda, allowing them to immerse themselves in the spirit of the Third Front Construction and the charm of Panxi intangible cultural heritage. International students have acted as "international promoters" of Panxi culture, assisting local relevant departments in filming a series of promotional videos covering Panzhihua's cultural tourism, police English popularization, personal foreign exchange business guidance, and convenient payment services for foreigners. Some students have fully showcased Panzhihua's authentic local customs and cultural charm through their personal Douyin accounts, effectively enhancing the international visibility and influence of regional culture.Boasting a pleasant climate, beautiful environment, and relatively low cost of living, Panzhihua provides international students with a comfortable environment for study and life.
