西南财经大学始于1925年，位于中国成都，有光华、柳林两校区，是著名的“园林式院校”。作为国家首批“双一流”建设高校，学校的“应用经济学”进入世界一流学科建设行列；“经济学与商学”跻身ESI全球前1‰学科，位居全球第50位、中国第2位；“社会科学总论”“工程学”“计算机科学”“环境生态学”“数学”5个学科进入ESI全球前1%学科行列；工商管理通过EQUIS和中国高质量MBA双认证；也是中国大陆首家通过AACSB商科和会计双认证的高校。2025年，西南财经大学在US NEWS“经济学与商学”排名全球第17名，中国大陆第3名。学校现有普通全日制本科生15,300余人，硕博士研究生9,900余人，外国留学生1000余人。
♦ ⌈ Overview of SWUFE ⌉
Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) is located in Chengdu, China, founded in 1925. With its two campuses, Guanghua and Liulin, it is renowned as a "garden-style university." As one of the first batch of national "Double First-Class" initiative universities, SWUFE’s “Applied Economics” has been included in the World-Class Discipline Construction list, while “Economics and Business” ranks in the top 1‰ globally according to ESI, placing 50th worldwide and 2nd in China. Additionally, five disciplines—“Social Sciences, General,” “Engineering,” “Computer Science,” “Environment/Ecology,” and “Mathematics”—have entered the ESI global top 1%. SWUFE’s Business Administration programs hold dual accreditation from EQUIS and China’s High-Quality MBA Education, and SWUFE is the first institution in the Chinese mainland to receive dual AACSB accreditation in both Business and Accounting. In 2025, SWUFE ranked 17th globally and 3rd in the Chinese mainland in the US News “Economics and Business” subject rankings. Currently, SWUFE has over 15,300 full-time undergraduate students, more than 9,900 master’s and doctoral candidates, and about 1,000 international students.
西南财经大学设有26个学院(研究院)，开设金融学、国际商务、工商管理、管理科学与工程等25个全英文授课本硕博项目、4个本科双语实验班及4个留学生专班。拥有国家级教师教学发展示范中心、3个国家级实验教学示范中心、25个国家级一流本科专业建设点。
SWUFE has established 26 schools (institutes) and offers 25 English-taught undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in fields such as Finance, International Business, Business Administration, and Management Science and Engineering. Additionally, it provides 4 bilingual experimental undergraduate classes and 4 specialized programs for international students. SWUFE also has a national-level teacher teaching development demonstration center, 3 national-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, and 25 national-level first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites.
西南财经大学已与世界40余个国家和地区的200余所知名大学、科研机构及知名企业建立了广泛的合作关系，并入选首批“高层次国际化人才培养创新实践基地”、四川首批“来华留学质量认证”试点院校。获批全国首批“区域国别学”一级学科硕士学位授权单位，“非洲研究中心”入选教育部备案国别和区域研究中心。建有北马其顿圣基里尔·麦托迪大学孔子学院及四川首家“汉语国际推广成都基地”。学校外国专家多次荣获“中国政府友谊奖”“天府友谊奖”。
SWUFE has established extensive cooperative relations with over 200 renowned universities, research institutions, and enterprises across more than 40 countries and regions worldwide, and it has been selected as one of the first batch of "Innovative Practice Bases for High-Level International Talent Cultivation" and a pilot institution for Sichuan's first "Quality Certification for International Students in China". It has been approved as one of China’s first institutions authorized to grant master's degrees in the first-level discipline of "Regional and Country Studies." Its "African Studies Center" has been included in the Ministry of Education's list of registered country and regional research centers. SWUFE has co-established the Confucius Institute at Saints Cyril and Methodius University of North Macedonia and established “the Chengdu Base of Confucius Institute Headquarter ”. Foreign experts at SWUFE have repeatedly been honored with the "Chinese Government Friendship Award" and the "Tianfu Friendship Award."
西南财经大学于1996年首次招收留学生，2001年被教育部列为培养外国留学生的重点院校。学校目前为来华留学生提供了多种奖学金支持，包括中国政府奖学金、国际中文教师奖学金、成都市政府奖学金、西南财经大学“一带一路”奖学金（学校奖学金）等。
SWUFE first recruited international students in 1996, and in 2001, it was listed as a key institution for cultivating international students by the Ministry of Education of China. It currently offers various scholarship supports for international students coming to China, including the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), the International Chinese Teacher Scholarship (CIS), the Chengdu Government Scholarship, and the SWUFE "Belt and Road" Scholarship (University Scholarship).
