本课程自2019年起面向来华留学本科生全英文授课,是机械工程专业的核心基础课。课程内容系统涵盖静力学分析、机构自由度、轴与轴承、齿轮与凸轮传动、连接件设计等核心知识模块,旨在培养学生掌握机械设计与分析的基本理论和技能。针对留学生专业基础特点,课程对传统教学内容进行了重构与优化,增加了必要的基础力学知识,并融入最新的科研与工程案例。课程采用“线上慕课资源+线下互动研讨”的混合式教学模式,依托在中国大学MOOC、爱课程国际平台及联合国教科文组织国际网络教育学院(IIOE)上线的全英文慕课资源,有效突破了教材与学习资料限制。同时,课程强调实践应用与创新思维培养,通过案例分析、专题研讨、项目报告等多元化教学与考核方式,引导学生将理论知识应用于解决实际问题。课程还将“中国元素”与“课程思政”有机融入教学,通过介绍中国标准、技术成就与文化,助力培养留学生“知华、友华”的情怀与国际化工程视野。
This course has been offered entirely in English for international undergraduate students since 2019 and serves as a core fundamental course in Mechanical Engineering. The curriculum systematically covers key knowledge modules including statics analysis, mechanism degrees of freedom, shafts and bearings, gear and cam drives, and fastener design, aiming to equip students with the fundamental theories and skills of mechanical design and analysis. Tailored to the characteristics of international students' foundational knowledge, the course has restructured and optimized traditional teaching content by adding essential basic mechanics knowledge and incorporating the latest research and engineering cases. The course employs a blended teaching model of "online MOOC resources + offline interactive seminars," leveraging fully English-taught MOOC resources deployed on platforms such as Chinese University MOOC, iCourse International Platform, and the UNESCO International Institute of Online Education (IIOE), effectively overcoming limitations in textbooks and learning materials. Furthermore, the course emphasizes practical application and innovative thinking cultivation. Through diversified teaching and assessment methods such as case studies, thematic seminars, and project reports, students are guided to apply theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems. The course also organically integrates "Chinese elements" and "curriculum ideological and political education" into teaching by introducing Chinese standards, technological achievements, and culture, helping to foster international students' understanding and friendship towards China, along with a global engineering perspective.

本课程拥有一支教学科研经验丰富、具备国际视野的教学团队。负责人张培培副教授拥有法国贡比涅技术大学联合培养博士经历,长期致力于课程建设与教学改革,主持多项校级教改项目,并主编出版了本课程全英文教材。主讲教师魏敦文副教授拥有美国康奈尔大学访学经历,负责将前沿科研与工程案例融入教学。团队教师均具有博士学位和海外背景,能够熟练进行全英文授课,实现了跨学科优势互补。团队在教学改革方面成果显著,成功建设了省级线上一流课程、校级“教学方法与考核方式改革”示范课及“课程思政”示范课,相关案例与论文已由高等教育出版社出版,教学成果曾获校级奖励。团队通过持续创新,构建了线上线下融合、理论与实践结合、知识传授与价值引领并重的特色教学模式。
This course is supported by a teaching team rich in educational and research experience with an international perspective. The course director, Associate Professor Zhang Peipei, holds a jointly supervised Ph.D. from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne, France. She has long been dedicated to curriculum development and teaching reform, leading several university-level educational reform projects and serving as the chief editor of the fully English textbook for this course. The lead instructor, Associate Professor Wei Dunwen, with visiting scholar experience at Cornell University, USA, is responsible for integrating cutting-edge research and engineering cases into teaching. All team members hold doctoral degrees and have international backgrounds, enabling proficient full-English instruction and achieving interdisciplinary synergy. The team has achieved significant results in teaching reform, successfully developing a provincial-level first-class online course, a university-level "Teaching Method and Assessment Reform" demonstration course, and an "Ideological and Political Education in Curriculum" demonstration course. Related cases and papers have been published by Higher Education Press, and teaching achievements have received university-level awards. Through continuous innovation, the team has established a distinctive teaching model that integrates online and offline learning, combines theory with practice, and balances knowledge impartation with value guidance.
