1、 简短概述 Brief Introduction
本课程是汉语国际教育专硕的专业学位课，以现代语言学理论为指导，剖析现代汉语结构系统的本质特点，介绍基本研究方法。
This course is a core professional degree course for the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL). Guided by modern linguistic theories, it analyzes the essential characteristics of the structural system of Modern Chinese and introduces fundamental research methodologies.

本课程重在以现代语言学理论解释汉语现象，关注研究的前沿，审慎地吸纳汉语语言学研究的新成果，目的在于使学生对现代汉语有较深刻全面的了解，以便在未来的对外汉语教学中既知其然，又知其所以然。
针对汉语语言学理论教学普遍存在的课程教材理论性较强，学生不易理解接受和教学手段单一，不易引起学生兴趣这两个问题，我们在对教学内容的更新和教学方法的改革等方面都进行了有益的探索和尝试，取得了卓有成效的成果。
本课程入选四川省教育厅2023 年四川省高等院校来华留学精品课程。
This course emphasizes the interpretation of Chinese linguistic phenomena through the framework of modern linguistic theories, maintains a focus on the frontiers of current research, and judiciously integrates new findings from the field of Chinese linguistics. Its primary objective is to equip students with a profound and comprehensive understanding of Modern Chinese, enabling them to not only know *what* to teach but also *why* in their future careers as teachers of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
In response to two prevalent challenges in the teaching of Chinese linguistic theory—namely, the highly theoretical nature of textbooks, which can impede student comprehension, and the monotony of instructional methods, which can be difficult for students to comprehend and assimilate, and the relative lack of diversity in instructional methods, which may fail to stimulate student interest—we have undertaken constructive exploration and innovation in updating course content and reforming pedagogical approaches, achieving notable results.
This course has been recognized in 2023 as a Provincial-Level High-Quality Course for International Students in Higher Education by the Department of Education of Sichuan Province.

课程负责人郑剑平、西南科技大学文学与艺术学院二级教授。

2、 详细介绍 Detailed Introduction
本课程负责人郑剑平教授，高校执教30年。主讲本科生、研究生语言类课程。承担国家级、省部级科研项目7项，发表论文20余篇。出版专著2部，主编教材3部，主编学术论文集2部，参编大型辞书1部。获得省社科“三等奖”1项，教育部第八届高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖（人文社会科学）“三等奖 ”1项。获得“四川省有突出贡献优秀专家”“四川省学术带头人”称号，绵阳市政府“绵州文化名家”，西南科技大学“龙山人才计划”的拔尖人才。着力于语言学及应用语言学，汉语方言等研究。主持有省级校级精品资源科5门，指导留学生本科、研究生多名，有丰富的教学经验。
本教学团队依托学院中文系语言教研室，已经形成了一支老中青相结合的师资结构合理、素质高、具有较丰富的教学经验和良好的科研能力优势的优秀教学团队。
Professor Zheng Jianping is the course leader, with 30 years of teaching experience in higher education. He teaches linguistic courses for both undergraduate and graduate students. He has presided over 7 national and provincial research projects, published more than 20 academic papers, 2 monographs, 3 textbooks, 2 edited academic volumes , and contributed to 1 comprehensive dictionary. He has received one Third Prizes from the Sichuan Provincial Social Sciences Award, and one from the 8th Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) issued by the Ministry of Education. He has been awarded the titles of “Outstanding Expert with Significant Contributions in Sichuan Province,” “Sichuan Provincial Academic Leader,” “Mianzhou Cultural Master” by the Mianyang Municipal Government, and selected as a top talent under the “Longshan Talent Program” of Southwest University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on linguistics, applied linguistics, and Chinese dialects. He has led 5 provincial and university-level high-quality resource courses and supervised many international undergraduate and graduate students, with extensive teaching experience.
Supported by the Linguistics Section of the Chinese Department, the teaching team has developed into an outstanding team with a well-balanced structure of senior, middle-aged, and young teachers with high professional competence, rich teaching experience, and solid research capabilities.
