成都信息工程大学针对来华留学生的教育始于2011年，已有12年的发展历史。主要开设的教育类型是学历教育和非学历语言研修教育，学生主要来自美国、德国、新加坡、英国、韩国、印度、斯里兰卡、南非、尼日利亚、俄罗斯、奥地利、吉尔吉斯斯坦等多个国家和地区，学生水平从零起点到HSK1-6级水平，主要为18岁以上的成年留学生，年龄段为18-50岁之间，学生学历层次为高中生、大学生及其他签证类型学员，学习时长有短期班和中长期班，从3个月到6年不等。
Chengdu University of Information Technology launched its international student education in 2011, boasting a 12-year history. Our university mainly offers degree education and non-degree language training programs. International students are from multiple countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Singapore, the United Kingdom, South Korea, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Nigeria, Russia, Austria, and Kyrgyzstan. Their Chinese proficiency ranges from absolute beginners to HSK Levels 1-6. Our students are mainly adult international learners, aged between 18 and 50. Their educational backgrounds include high school graduates, university students, and students with other visa types. The duration of their studies ranges from 3 months to 6 years, covering both short-term and long-term programs.
《汉字文化》课作为非学历语言教育系列课程的主要选修课程，在非学历生的汉语选修课课程安排中占有重要的地位，发挥着激发学生汉语学习兴趣，培养学生汉字认读和书写能力，传播中国语言文化重要的作用。该课程开设已有11年的时间，11个轮次，主要面向本校语言进修生，同时也面向来华短期中文体验团以及本校外籍教师零起点的课外汉语培训。依据我校留学生规模，《汉字文化》课程在初、中、高三个等级的班级中均进行了开设，每学期平均选课人数为30人左右，该课程开设至今累计选课人数已达几百人，选课学生经过学习汉字的系统知识，不但了解了汉字的基本历史和构字结构，还掌握了释读汉字以及汉字文化的基本技能，学会了字族勾连的方法，受到选课学生的好评。
As a key elective course in the non-degree Chinese language curriculum, Chinese Character Culture occupies a significant role in the elective system. It aims to ignite students’ passion for Chinese language learning, develop their competence in character recognition and writing, and serve as a bridge for spreading Chinese language and culture. Offered for 11 consecutive academic years (11 academic cycles), the course primarily serves our on-campus language students, while also being available for extracurricular beginner-level Chinese training for short-term Chinese experience groups and our foreign teachers. To accommodate the varied proficiency levels of our students, the course is offered at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. The average enrollment per semester is about 30 students, and the total number of participants has reached several hundred since the course was launched. Through systematic study, learners not only gain an understanding of the fundamental history and structural principles of Chinese characters but also acquire the basic skills of character interpretation and cultural comprehension, mastering the skills of character family association. The course has been highly praised by participating students.
