2021年，我校正式获批为四川省来华留学示范基地。近年来，学校积极发挥示范基地的带头和引领作用，立足油气行业特色，与油气企业联合订单式培养人才。校企双方本着优势互补、互惠互利、资源共享、协同发展的良好愿望，充分发挥各自在油气领域的优势与特色，聚焦“一带一路”共建国家对石油化工专业人才的需求，签订战略合作协议，共同输出一批批急需的应用型、复合型、国际化高素质人才。
In 2021, Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU) was officially approved as a Demonstration Base for International Students in Sichuan Province. In recent years, the university has actively played the leading role of the demonstration base, based on the characteristics of the oil and gas industry, and jointly trained talents with oil and gas enterprises. Guided by the good wishes of complementary advantages, mutual benefit, resource sharing, and collaborative development, both the university and the enterprises have given full play to their respective advantages and characteristics in the oil and gas field. Focusing on the demand for petrochemical professionals in participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, they have signed strategic cooperation agreements to jointly produce batches of urgently needed applied, composite, and high-quality international talents.
目前，学校已与多家企业联合培养近70名来华留学生，项目学生受邀参加世界青年发展论坛、中阿青年发展论坛、中国进出口博览会等国际盛会，多次被央视新闻、中国青年报、中国发展改革报社等知名媒体报道，取得社会各界广泛关注，反响良好。
Currently, SWPU has jointly trained nearly 70 international students with multiple enterprises. The students participating in the programs have been invited to attend international events such as the World Youth Development Forum, the China-Arab Youth Development Forum, and the China International Import Expo. They have been reported by well-known media outlets such as CCTV News, China Youth Daily, and China Development and Reform News, attracting extensive attention from all sectors of society and receiving favorable feedback.
一直以来，学校积极推进示范基地建设，努力打造具有行业特色和影响力的“留学SWPU”品牌，创新实施的校企合作项目已成为学校国际化人才培养的特色举措之一，为学校来华留学工作高质量发展持续注入强劲动力。
All along, the university has been actively promoting the construction of the Demonstration Base, striving to create the "Study in SWPU" brand with industry characteristics and influence. The innovatively implemented school-enterprise cooperation program has become one of the characteristic measures for the university's cultivation of international talents, continuously injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of the university's work in enrolling international students from abroad.
