西华大学始建于1960年，是四川省属重点综合性大学，现有郫都、宜宾、彭州、人南、易三仓（泰国）五个校区，校园面积近4000亩，全日制在校学生3.6万余人，其中硕士研究生近5000人，外国留学生及港澳台学生近300人，专任教师2400余人。学校设有21个学院，获批16个国家一流专业建设点、4个国家级特色专业，9个专业通过工程教育专业认证。拥有10个学科门类，43个硕士学位授权点，5个学科进入ESI全球排名前1%。学校与20余个国家的80余所高校、科研院所以及企业建立合作伙伴关系，积极响应国家"一带一路"倡议，在泰国易三仓大学建成首个海外校区，与印尼三一一大学共建孔子学院，培养具有国际视野的高素质复合型人才。
Founded in 1960, Xihua University (XHU) is a key comprehensive university under the administration of Sichuan Province. The university operates across five vibrant campuses—Pidu, Yibin, Pengzhou, Rennan, and the Assumption University campus in Thailand—covering a total area of nearly 267 hectares of land. XHU is home to a diverse academic community of over 36,000 full-time students, including nearly 5,000 postgraduates and 300 international and regional students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Our mission is driven by a dedicated faculty of more than 2,400 professionals across 21 schools. With 10 academic disciplines and 43 master’s degree programs, XHU is a hub of excellence. The university boasts 16 national "First-Class" undergraduate programs, 4 national-level featured majors, and 9 programs accredited by international engineering education standards. Notably, 5 of our disciplines rank within the global top 1% of the ESI. Committed to global engagement, XHU has established partnerships with over 80 universities, research institutes, and enterprises across 20 countries. In active response to the "Belt and Road Initiative," we established our first overseas campus at Assumption University in Thailand and co-founded a Confucius Institute with Universitas Sebelas Maret in Indonesia. Together, we are dedicated to nurturing high-quality, versatile talents with a global perspective.
西华大学面向来华留学生开设约20个中、英文授课本科、硕士项目，涵盖文、工、管、经等学科，其中工商管理、国际经济与贸易、汉语言文学、汉语言国际教育、计算机科学与技术等本科专业成建制招生运行多年，培养质量稳步提升，学生毕业后多进入中资驻外企业、中外合资企业或中外交流相关行业工作，受到用人单位的肯定与认可。
XHU offers approximately 20 undergraduate and master’s programs tailored for international students, with instruction available in Chinese or English. These programs span a diverse range of disciplines, including Liberal Arts, Engineering, Management, and Economics. In particular, our core undergraduate programs—such as Business Administration, International Economics and Trade, Chinese Language and Literature, Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL), and Computer Science and Technology—have successfully operated for many years.
With a steadfast commitment to enhancing educational quality, XHU ensures that students receive a rigorous and practical education. Upon graduation, our alumni are highly sought after, frequently securing positions in Chinese overseas enterprises, international joint ventures, and various sectors dedicated to global exchange. XHU provides a comprehensive range of scholarship opportunities to support international students in their academic pursuits. These include the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship, the Sichuan Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students, the Chengdu Municipal Government Scholarship, and the Xihua University Scholarships and Grants. To date, XHU has successfully attracted and cultivated nearly 500 exceptional students from approximately 20 countries and regions, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community.
